![]() It showed nothing obvious given the trouble. I ran an Etrecheck in both Safe Mode (maybe not useful?) and in my usual problematic login (regular user account). Same: no crashes when in either Safe Mode or when logging in to a different/barren user account. I have not gotten it to crash like this when the drive is unplugged. Maybe the external drive is dying (I tried a Disk Util on it and the local drive, nada). This seems somehow related to my external USB drive and maybe Apple Music for Mac OS. ![]() I’ve tried plugging in my keyboard via USB cable to see if I regain control, but no go. I get the standard error pop up recommending ejecting the drive before powering it off, then my iMac is dead - I have to hold down the rear power button to shut down. My Apple Bluetooth keyboard and magic mouse loose connection, all at the same time my external USB drive self-ejects.
